Policies

ARRIVALS

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment or be on time. Being late for your appointment sets the following client's appointment back. We respect our client's time and expect the same courtesy. Come with clean/ makeup free brows, eyes and lashes. Extra time spent cleaning your lashes will mean less time lashing. If your service is shortened due to your late arrival, you will be still charged the full cost of the service.

Due to scheduling commitments, we may need to reschedule any clients that are more than 15 minutes late (another deposit is required). I will do my best to accommodate your service, however due to time constraints and my obligation to other clients, it may be necessary to reduce the service. If the service must be reduced you may be charged for the original service booked. If, your appointment will have to be cancelled, the deposit will not be refunded..

Guests
I currently do not allow guests in my studio. Please come alone to your appointment.  I have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime if policy rules aren't followed. 


NEW CLIENTS

All new pmu and lash appointments will require the client to pay a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is set to secure your appointment and to be sure you’re serious about the procedure. The deposit will be deducted from the total due on the day of your appointment. Remaining balance will be due day of your appointment by cash or credit card. Your deposit may be transferred up to 2 reschedules, if rescheduled no later than 48 hrs before your appointment date.  After 2 reschedules you will need to pay a new deposit.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

***All appointments require a non-refundable reservation booking fee (or pre payment in full)   which is applied to your scheduled appointment. Reschedules will apply  to your deposit.*** Your appointment is not booked until the booking fee  has been paid in full. The remaining balance will be due at the time of service.

Payment Methods
Although cash is preferred, I accept all major credit card issuers. There will be credit card processing fees. Please try to pay in cash to avoid fees.

RESCHEDULING + REFUND

Every effort will be made to reschedule your appointment to a time that works for you.
If for any reason you need to reschedule, you may do so via email/text as long as it’s at least 48 hrs in advance!  A minimum of 48 hours is required to reschedule/ cancel a booked appointment without a penalty. If it falls WITHIN 48hrs, this is a cancellation and you forfeit your deposit and will be charged the remainder.
Communication
Social media or Waitlist booking is NOT an acceptable form of communication to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You must either text or call me directly. Please leave a voicemail if I don’t answer.

NO refunds will be given for any reason on service or products. If you are unhappy with a service, you may contact me within 24  hours of your appointment to discuss your concerns and if a fix can be done. For lash extensions it will be done so with a complimentary 30 minute express touch up if it is at the fault of application or product. Any concerns addressed after 72 hours of your last appointment or if you failed to follow the proper after care instructions, will be charged at full price for the service.

CANCELLATION + NO SHOWS

If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled within 48hours of your appointment, you will be charged your prepayment as cancellation fee. If you reschedule or no show your appointment the day of your scheduled time, you will be charged 100% of your service as cancellation fee. If you need to cancel your appointment, you may do so via email/text or call the studio. We require at least 48 hour notice. Please keep in mind that cancellations at any point will still forfeit your deposit, as it is non-refundable deposit. If you fail to show up to your appointment with zero notice, you will be charged 100%  of the total service. Any  appointments block out min  1-3  hours of the artists time, and failure to give notice of a cancellation/reschedule makes it very hard to fill appointments last minute. Deposits /  Booking  fee s  are put in place to protect the artist and their time. Please be respectful of this policy.            


Please  note  that  all  bookings  are  considered  final.  I  do  not  offer  refunds  for  accidental  bookings.  All  service  details,  pricing,  and  policies  are  clearly  listed  for  your  review  before  confirming  an  appointment.  It  is  the  client’s  responsibility  to  read  and  understand  the  information  provided  before  booking.                                     


Clients  who  have  no-showed  for  appointments will  be  asked  to  prepay/pay  towards  their  visit  when  booking  future  appointments.  

Clients  who  no  showed  multiple  times will  be  no  longer  allowed  to  come  back

EMERGENCY

If you or another person in your household has an infectious or contagious illness, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment. For your safety and mine, please do not come to your appointment sick. A one time allowance of last minute cancellation or reschedule will be permitted for emergency. After that, the cancellation and no show policy is in effect.

OTHER ARTIST'S WORK (LASH)

If you're coming in for a touch up from another lash artist, then you agree that your current extensions may need to be removed and new full set will be applied at the appropriate full set price. This will be discussed and fully explained to you prior to any service being preformed. 

PMU TOUCH UPS

Each new PMU client appointment requires a touch-up, usually done between 5-6 weeks after the initial session. This is to correct any imperfections that may arise after healing and to help your permanent makeup last longer. Pricing for the 5-6 week touch-up is NOT included in the price of the initial session and deposit or pre payment will be due at the time of initial service Appointment. However, if you need to reschedule your touch-up and it is more than 12 weeks after your initial session, that is considered a new service appointment. This is because the longer we put off your touch-up, the more they will fade and the more work I will have to do on your brows to perfect them. Trust me touch ups are very necessary for final results. Don’t put those off or cancel altogether. 

BROW PHOTOS

Upon requesting an appointment, you are required to send photos of your bare brows  through text 847-716-8803  or through email akmicroblading18@gmail.com. Please include your first and last name in the subject line. You will not be sent the $100 deposit invoice or link and your appointment will not be booked until after I receive your photos and approve you.

Photos should be taken directly front facing, in natural light, and with a relaxed facial expression. This is so I can best assess your facial structure and see how your brows naturally frame your face. If your photos are low quality or do not meet these requirements I will likely ask you to retake and send new ones. 

MEDICAL HISTORY FORMS

Due to the nature of the services being performed, it is required that you fill out a Medical History Form sent to you upon booking your appointment to make sure you don’t have any health conditions that are contraindications for PMU treatments. This form must be filled out at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you haven’t completed your form by 48 hours before your appointment, we may need to reschedule you. 

AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS (LASH)

Certain circumstances and seasons may leave you in panic to squeeze in a last minute appointment that is outside of our normal business hours. After hours appointments may be available on a case by case basis for an additional fee. Please contact me directly to schedule.
